Fatima Al-Fihria had the largest mosque in Africa built in Fez, as well as the Madrassah al-Qaraouiyine: the oldest university in the world still in operation. While contributing to the unity of the Arab-Muslim world, this educational, cultural and spiritual centre ensures the transfer of knowledge between the Maghreb and the whole world.
